Other favorites for musical bears:
Bears also love The Dances of Universal Peace:
Bears also feel a biblical mandate to dance. While bears usually read the Bible metaphorically (taking great care not to get any hunny on the pages), they take the following passages quite literally:
Psalm 149:3 Let them praise his name with dancing, making melody to him with tambourine and lyre.
Psalm 150:3-6 Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with clanging cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that breathes praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
(Whew!)
Bears also dance sometimes when they've had too much coffee, especially if they put hunny in it. The best coffee, of course, is at Innovox, where a bear can relax with his friends and sip a short double latte or a shot in the dark (a shot of espresso in a large cup of the Innovox house blend). Or both. [UPDATE: Unfortunately, Innovox is now closed.]
Bears sometimes laugh when they dance (because even though they are graceful, they are not always coordinated). And this is good because:
If you wish to glimpse inside a human soul and get to know a man, don't bother analyzing his ways of being silent, of talking, of weeping, or seeing how much he is moved by noble ideas; you'll get better results if you just watch him laugh. If he laughs well, he is a good man. -- Dostoyevsky |
